A traffic payment is due in the Clerk's office within 30 days of receipt of the citation. Payments received, regardless of postmark, or made after the compliance date will incur an additional late fee.

*Even if you are guilty of the offense, you may elect traffic school to keep it off your record, avoid the points and prevent the ticket from raising your insurance rates.

The reduced fee payment (listed here) is due in the Clerk's office within 30 days of receipt of the citation, then you will be granted an extra 120 days to attend a driver improvement school in the State of Florida.  Anyone who does not hold a Commercial Driver License (CDL) may elect traffic school.

You are eligible for the 4-hour course if you have not elected a 4-hour traffic course within the last 12 months or 5 times in your lifetime – OR – if you have NEVER before elected a 4-hour traffic school course.

If you do not qualify for a 4-hour course, you may be eligible to attend an 8-hour course. The 8-hour course is only available to you once in your lifetime and you should only register for the 8-hour if you do not qualify for the 4-hour course. Be aware, once you elect the 8-hour course it becomes mandatory and YOU ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THIS 8-HOUR COURSE.
